What a Shame!

Govt Rejects BSF Jawan’s Allegation On Food Quality; His Son Says He Will Never Join Army.

A BSF soldier’s video went viral on the social media networks, in which he raised questions on the quality of food being served to them, alleging that the rations provided by the government are sold by the officials in an illegal manner.
However, the claims and allegations made by the soldier have been rejected by the home ministry and it has denied any substance in the complaint made by the jawan. The PMO asked for a report on the matter by the home ministry after the video of BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav went viral in which he complained about the quality of food.
In its report submitted to the PM on Friday, the home ministry stated that “there was no widespread discontent” regarding food among the soldiers posted along the border. The ministry also claims that rations are in sufficient quantity at all the posts and regular quality checks are done in order to keep a tab on the quality. The report also states that no security officer of BSF has ever complained about the quality of food.
The BSF has also laid fresh guidelines to make sure that its personnel get food of good quality.

The rejection of Yadav’s complaint terming it as baseless has miffed the Yadav family to such an extent that they have now decided to unfollow the tradition of sending their sons to serve in the Army.
As per DNA, Tej Bahadur’s son Rohit Yadav has now decided not to join army. In his words,
“It is an open secret. The food the jawans get is unpalatable, yet they endure it for the love of the nation. Look at what has the same love brought my father: disrepute and baseless allegations.”
Omvir, Rohit’s cousin, whose father is also presently in BSF has decided not to join army too.
This is what Tej Bahadur’s father, Sher Singh said,
“My father went to jail with Netaji and even (former President) Giani Zail Singh in his autobiography has mentioned his name as his political guru. Our entire family has a legacy and that is how I have brought up my children.”
