An Indian Restaurant In UK Received Almost ₹1 Lakh As A Tip For A ₹6550 Bill. That’s Right!
I don’t know about you but for me the most difficult thing to decide whenever I visit a restaurant is the amount to tip. Yes, it’s even more difficult than deciding what to eat. After considering the food, the service and the ambience and doing a lot of calculations in my head, when I finally come up with an amount, it is usually not enough for the waiter to give me a (not forced) smile. However, this was not the case with the staff of an Indian restaurant in the United Kingdom last week, as they got a tip they would have never expected.
‘Indian Tree’, a restaurant in Portadown, Northern Ireland received a whopping tip of 1,000 Pounds (₹83000) from a generous businessman for a 79 Pounds (₹6556) bill!
The businessman is from Portadown but lives abroad. He has been a loyal customer of Chef Babu and always comes for his first meal from him whenever he visits the town. A happily surprised owner of the establishment, Luna Ekuch, said,
Ekuch took over the restaurant over a year ago and it was
the biggest tip she ever received. Delighted by the generosity of the
customer, she gave all the credit to Chef Babu.
